The Journey
Do not oppose nature. The rain will come and the winds will change only to lead you down the right path, in the right direction.
I've been thinking about this a lot this weekend. How much Life is in itself a journey, yet one that is never-ending. If we all had a specific destination, we would never be fulfilled. I feel like life is much more a journey of finding oneself. Of finding balance. Of being in harmony with not only yourself, but the environment in which you live in and those whom you share it with. Of living in each moment as if we wouldn't be on this earth tomorrow, and being completely content with that fact because of Faith in something greater. Only by savoring each opportunity that comes our way, while still honoring ourselves and what we know is right, can we be fulfilled, each and every moment, of each and every day.
Here's to the moment, for it is in every moment that our journey carries on to make up what we know as Life. Cheers.

Define your own Success. Define your own Happiness. Define your own Journey. Define your own Life.
I reckon our world would spin a little smoother on its axis if we focused more on the uniqueness of the human race rather than picking out differences in a negative demeanor.
After all, our planet is essentially the sum of its parts. Why not work together?

Let the training begin!
It's official... I entered to run in the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon! That means 21.1 km, or 13.1 miles. I've always wanted to do one, and seriously there couldn't be a better time to train. As of tomorrow, (Monday, March 14th), it will mark two months until the night before the marathon on May 15th, 2011. That means exactly two months to train... it's gonna be slightly intense but I'm seriously more than ready for the challenge. :)
"The new course allows for increased capacity of Australia's largest and most prestigious Half Marathon. Sunday, May 15 will be the first time more than 10,000 runners will see Sydney harbourside icons such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont Peninsula and Darling Harbour precinct from a different perspective."
a.k.a. LEGIT!
There's already 4 people from ihouse (where I live at) entered a.k.a. 4 training buddies, and counting... more people are signing up by the day it's awesome.
Katrina, Scott, and I ran our first *technical* run tonight... it was so good, I love running at night. Plus we went along the beach boardwalk and up by the lighthouse. I swear the ocean smells extra oceany at night. Had the community ipod on full force, and we did a solid 4.56 miles in 47 minutes, no stopping. Not bad, not bad at all for the first run of many! Our training sched is a mix of about 3 runs a week - one long leisure run, one shorter faster run, and one interval training/hills run. We'll throw in two days of cross-training/weights, and two days of rest.
It's only day one and I'm already feeling great. Updates to come.
To Health, Happiness, and Life-Fullfillment,
-Rachel Leigh

Freedom
"Some say that freedom's the power to do what one pleases,
You can live like the devil, or hold on to Jesus...
I found the one thing I was born to do..."

The Time Has Come
My lovely sister Hannah made this video for me... just a little (ahem, big and fully-appreciated) tribute to the send-off. :)
Han, you know me all too well. I love you more than anything!
TODAY IS THE DAY!!! I cannot BELIEVE I'm leaving for the airport in an hour and a half... my room is still of course semi turned upside down. Of course some things just work better under pressure, right?
Let the games begin.
